Mr. Ching Chi Kong 程志剛先生

 

Adjunct Professor of Social Work

 

Mr. Ching Chi Kong has over 40 years of distinguished service in rehabilitation and mental health. Former Director and current Advisor of the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, he is also Executive Director of the Institute of Community Rehabilitation. He holds a Master's in Social Work from the University of Alabama and is credentialed as a Qualified Clinical Social Worker in the U.S. He has led more than 75 collaborative projects in Mainland China, contributed to government advisory boards, and published influential research on discrimination and public attitudes toward mental health. His leadership spans academia, policy, and community practice.

Mr. Ching's extensive leadership in mental health services, his pioneering role in community rehabilitation, and his international credentials make him an ideal candidate for Adjunct Professor in the Social Work Department. His experience in policy advocacy, research, and frontline practice bridges academic knowledge with real-world impact. His mentorship of agencies in Hong Kong and Mainland China demonstrates his commitment to advancing social work education and practice. As Adjunct Professor, Mr. Ching shall strengthen the department's expertise in rehabilitation, empower students with applied knowledge, and enhance its influence in shaping mental health policy and service innovation
